TV Girl // Benny and the Jets

San Francisco indie-pop duo Trung Ngo and Brad Petering hit just the right spot with the feel-good track "Benny and the Jetts," from their Benny and the Jets EP. You can download it for free from their Facebook page.

Dum Dum Girls // Teardrops on My Pillow

Dum Dum Girls, a Californian indie pop band, recently released their second album, "Only in Dreams" on Sub Pop. "Teardrops on My Pillow" showcases a dreamy post punk sound. This song makes me want to dance (and it's 5 in the morning). "Bedroom Eyes" is another fantastic song from the album.

ROSTAM // Wood

What an amazing find. Vampire Weekend's Rostam Batmanglij recently released the song "Wood." I love the Eastern-influences filtered throughout. This song is simply stunning.

WIM // See You Hurry (Twin Shadow Remix)

WIM is an Aussie glam-folk-dream-pop band who recently signed with Modular Records. Twin Shadow remixes "See You Hurry" quite fantastically. So new wavy.

Mord Fustang // A New World

This song is pure love - loops, tings, womps and glitches. Give me more.

The White Panda - Mo Free Mo Fallin'

This week I found myself listening to The White Panda's amazing mashup of Tom Petty and the Notorious B.I.G. Such a good jam. Enjoy!

Wild Nothing // Golden Haze

Wild Nothing knows how to do it right. Really right. Shoegazy, romantic 80's dream pop right. Just the way I like it.

I've loved this track for a while, but loved it even more when I finally got to listen to the Golden Haze EP (I was busy, it was hard to listen to anything new...but now I can, or will at least try to!)

Millionyoung // Sunndreamm

Blazing heat.

Sunndreamm- Millionyoung

...and you are my dream.

Brothertiger // Summer House

I'm excited. Brothertiger, my favourite Nu Disco-Chillgaze outfit, is releasing a new EP on Valentine's Day called Point of View. I fell hard for their Vision Tunnels EP released back in May, especially the track "Summer House." Isn't this perfect summer lazy melody? Sitting in a hammock outside, watching the sky float past you in a hazy colourful glow. Since it's winter I'm in need of this.

My Favourite of 2010

I have abandoned this blog. I have been away for far too long. Here is my favourite song of 2010. I wish I could have done a list type thing but time was a constraint.
